DONNELLY SPOT-KICK THE DIFFERENCE
Jay Donnelly grabbed the only goal of the game as Newington defeated Newry City at The Showgrounds.
The striker, on loan from Glentoran, scored from the spot just after the half hour mark awarded after handball in the box.
Newington were reduced to nine men on 82 minutes when Dean Smyth and Paul Donnelly were dismissed following an altercation, with Newry's Lorcan Forde also being sent-off in the same incident.
Tommy Taggart was also shown a red card for the home side deep into added time for violent conduct.
