MALLARDS EDGE OUT SWANS
Ballinamallard United defeated Newington by the odd goal in five at Ferney Park.
The Mallards moved in front inside the opening ten minutes when Sean McAteer converted Darragh Burns' cross from the left.
Joshua McIlwaine doubled up for the Mallards on 27 minutes with a far post finish from Aaron Harkin's free-kick before Patrick Downey pulled one back for the visitors just a few moments later.
Downey then levelled for the Swans early in the second half from distance but, on 69 minutes, McIlwaine grabbed his second of the evening with what proved to be the winner when he nodded home Tiarnan Campbell's cross.
