Ballinamallard United and Newry City shared the points at Ferney Park.
Darragh Byrne might have edged the Mallards in front early on but his header skimmed just past the post, but the home side did go in at the break on top when Alex Holder sent a sweet strike past Lorcan Donnelly after half-an-hour.
It was a lead they held until just over ten minutes from time, however, when an Alex O'Brien effort hit the post before going into the net off Ballinamallard's Jake Browne.
