The Northern Ireland Football League is saddened to learn of the passing of highly respected administrator Morton McKnight.
Mr. McKnight was a former President of the Irish Football League, serving from 1991 to 1997, as well as fulfilling the role of Vice-President of the Irish Football Association for a five-year spell.
He also had a long association with Lisburn Distillery, both as a supporter and official. Achieving the position of Chairman, he was heavily involved in the relocation of the club to their current New Grosvenor Stadium ground, and was honoured by having a stand named after him.
