Cliftonville have been both clinical and decisive enroute to another BetMcLean Cup final, having played all four games away from home and keeping four clean sheets to boot.

The Reds kicked their campaign off with a trip to the North West to take on Limavady United at The Showgrounds.

Jim Magilton's charges grabbed the advantage midway through the first half after Taylor Steven got on the end of a Ruaidhri Donnelly flick to turn the ball into the bottom corner.

Limavady saw an effort come back off the inside of the post soon after while, at the other end, Rory Hale's finish was ruled out offside.

The Roesiders struck the woodwork again in the second half but it took a Destiny Ojo shot in stoppage time to secure safe passage for the visitors.

Next up was a somewhat shorter journey to Bangor, and again it took a late goal to see the Reds through at the Seasiders' expense.

Scoreless at the break, the Reds twice connected with the woodwork as both Joe Gormley and then Rory Hale saw efforts kept out by the fixtures and fittings.

And the sides remained in deadlock until the closing moments of the game until 17-year-old Ryan Corrigan popped up the hit the winner that ensured the Reds progressed.

Cliftonville were on the road again - this time to Holm Park - to get past Armagh City in the quarter-finals.

Again, there was no score at half-time, but the Reds moved in front not long after the break when a defensive lapse allowed Ryan Curran to open the scoring.

Rory Hale then doubled the visitors advantage when, following good work from Micheal Glynn, he finished into the bottom corner.

And 15-year-old Coran Madden completed the scoring in the closing moments after good build up play on the right from Jack Berry.

The semi-finals brought another trip and a visit up the coast to take on Larne at Inver Park.

A relatively quiet and, again, scoreless first half did still produce some efforts of note for both sides.

Joe Gormley came closest for the Reds after pouncing on a poor ball only to see Rohan Ferguson diving to tip his effort around the upright.

At the other end David Odumosu was called into action to keep out a Conor McKendry drive from distance.

Larne were dealt a blow early in the second half after they were reduced to ten men following Shaun Want's dismissal for a challenge on Rory Hale.

The sides continued to trade chances as the game progressed, with Odumosu forced to deal with Ryan Nolan's header from Levi Ives' free-kick while, for the visitors, Axel Piesold sent a dipping volley just over the top.

Cliftonville thought they had done enough four minutes from the end of extra-time after Jonny Addis sent over a perfectly delivered cross for Aaron Pettifer to turn home but his finish was ruled out offside.

But the visiting fans were celebrating just sixty seconds after that. A Rory Hale ball to the back post was met by Ojo who duly turned it into the net to spark scenes of ecstasy amongst the travelling support.
