RANDALL GOAL GIVES LARNE THE EDGE
Mark Randall bagged the only goal of the game as Larne defeated Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.
The 35-year-old struck early in the second half after Andy Ryan's cross from the left wasn't cleared allowing him to pounce on the loose ball and slot low into the net from close range.
That came after a first half that produced few chances although Leo Alves sent a free-kick looping just over the top early on while, towards the break, John McGovern nodded wide from a Steven Scott cross.
James Knowles might have levelled for the Swifts not long after Randall's goal only to send a free-kick off the outside of the post before, at the other end, Ryan was also denied by the woodwork with a low effort.
The Swifts came close to the equaliser in the closing moments when Adam Glenny had a go from 25 yards only for the ball to flash across the face of goal.
