SECOND HALF GOALS SEAL IT FOR REDS
Two second half goals saw Cliftonville defeat bottom of the table Loughgall at Solitude.
Scoreless at the break, the visitors came closest to finding the net when, midway through the first half, James Carroll met a Conor McCloskey cross only to send a powerful header crashing against the woodwork before the danger was cleared.
The Villagers did find the net just before the interval when Nedas Maciulaitis bundled the ball home only for the 'goal' to be ruled out for an infringement.
But the scoring was opened on 51 minutes when Jonny Addis nudged the Reds in front after rising unmarked to power home Arran Pettifer’s free-kick.
That was how it stayed until deep into added time when Stephen McGuinness reacted quickest to the loose ball after Pettifer’s initial effort had been blocked.
