NOTHING BETWEEN LARNE AND PORTS
Larne and Portadown shared the spoils from the Saturday evening clash at Inver Park.
A quiet first half produced a limited number of chances in front of goal, with Dylan Sloan being denied the first effort of note when he was denied by a timely intervention from Portadown's Baris Altintop just as he was about to shoot.
Larne did have the ball in the net not long after that when Andy Ryan took the ball around keeper Aaron McCarey only for the effort to be ruled out for offside earlier in the move.
The second half proved to be a much more lively affair, and Larne almost found a way through less than 60 seconds after the restart when Sean Graham's powerful header was pushed away to his left by McCarey.
Portadown's best effort so far arrived just before the hour when substitute Ben Wylie collected the ball from Josh Ukek only to see his shot from inside the area deflected wide.
Then, moments after that, Graham came closest after connecting with Tomas Cosgrove's cross only to send a header against the crossbar.
The deadlock was eventually broken on 73 minutes when the home side moved in front after Sloan sent over a cross from the right for the inrushing Ryan to loop over McCarey into the net.
But the Ports levelled just three minutes after that. Rabby Minzamba cut the ball back for Lewis MacKinnon to have a shot on goal and although this was blocked the ball fell for Steven McCullough to knock home from inside the area.
