GLENS SURVIVE NERVY FINISH TO PICK UP THE POINTS
Glentoran stretched their unbeaten run to nine league games with victory over Coleraine at The Showgrounds.
The visitors moved in front just after the half-hour mark through Jordan Jenkins after he rose highest to connect with a Danny Amos free-kick from the right to head the ball past keeper Rory Brown.
Coleraine might have levelled early in the second half when Jamie McGonigle tested Daniel Gyollai with a free-kick while Levi Ives fired just over a few moments later.
Christie Pattison came close to doubling Glentoran's lead only to fire straight at Brown but, on 83 minutes, Kodi Lyons-Foster did make it 2-0 with a back post header after Marcus Kane had sent over the cross.
The Bannsiders pulled one back on 90 minutes when Matthew Shevlin ran onto a poor back header to slot the ball past the advancing Gyollai but it wasn't enough to change the outcome of the game.
