FITZPATRICK GOAL ENOUGH FOR BLUES
A Matthew Fitzpatrick goal was enough for leaders Linfield to get past bottom of the table Loughgall at Windsor Park.
The 30-year-old broke the deadlock after half-an-hour with a header past Nathan Gartside after Kyle McClean had sent a corner over from the right.
The Villagers might have levelled later in the first half only for Fra McCaffrey to be denied by the outstretched David Walsh.
Fitzpatrick came close to doubling Linfield's lead early in the second half with another header from a Matthew Orr ball into the box but he was thwarted by the woodwork on this occasion.
And he came close again after that when the ball fell for him in the box only to skew his shot wide of the far post.
