QUICK FIRE SECOND HALF DOUBLE ENOUGH FOR REDS
Two goals midway through the second half gave Cliftonville the edge over Glentoran at Solitude.
Chances were at a premium in the scoreless first half, although Ryan Curran could have opened the scoring early on from inside the six yard box only for the danger to be cleared.
At the other end the Glens came close when Danny Amos' free-kick whistled just past the post and just beyond the onrushing Kodi Lyons-Foster who couldnt' get a touch.
Glentoran might have moved in front early in the second half when a Christie Pattisson strike was parried by keeper Lewis Ridd but Nathaniel Ferris' rebound was blocked by Harry Wilson.
Shea Kearney tested Daniel Gyollai with a low effort a few minutes later before, on 65 minutes, the deadlock was finally broken when Curran pounced on the loose ball after Gyollai had initially done well to deal with Rory Hale's shot from distance.
Then, three minutes after that, Jack Keaney doubled the home advantage when he rose highest at the back post to head home a corner.
The visitors attempted to claw their way back into the game, and came close when Jonny Russell had a go from range but his effort was tipped just over by Ridd.
