BANNSIDERS HAVE TOO MUCH FOR PORTS
Coleraine picked up a second successive three points with victory over Portadown at The Showgrounds.
The Bannsiders moved in front after just 11 minutes when Ronan Doherty swept the ball past keeper Aaron McCarey from outside the area albeit via a deflection.
Matthew Shevlin came closing t doubling the home advantage moments later after a move down the left only to send the ball just past the near post.
McCarey was then called into action to tip Connor Murray's effort over the top before, near the break, Shevlin missed from close range from Kyle Spence's right-wing cross.
Shay McCartan went closest for the Ports with a free-kick late in the first half.
However Coleraine finally doubled their lead just before the hour after Jamie Glackin was played through to lift the ball over the advancing Ports keeper.
