McMANUS CURLS HOME THE WINNER
Declan McManus scored the late winner as Coleraine edged past Glenavon at Mourneview Park.
Both keepers were called into action early on with Tadhg Ryan dealing with a dangerous Dean Jarvis cross while, at the other end, Rory Brown tipped a David Toure around the post.
Glenavon might have moved in front midway through the first half only for Charles Dunne to clear the ball from Peter Campbell's corner off the line, with Michael O'Connor then testing Brown not long after that.
Coleraine could have seized the advantage around the half-hour mark when Levi Ives' free-kick was just about cleared off the line by Ryan, and the home keeper was tested again on the break with a save to deny Matthew Shevlin at the near post.
In the second half Shevlin came close for the Bannsiders when he got past the offside trap only to be thwarted again by Ryan while, for Glenavon, David McDaid almost found the net from distance only to send the ball just wide when he spotted Brown off his line.
However Coleraine's winner arrived with nine minutes remaining when substitute McManus fired home a brilliantly executed free-kick from outside the area with his right foot past Ryan into the corner of the net.
