O'NEILL GOAL ENOUGH FOR LARNE
Paul O'Neill bagged the only goal of the game as Larne edged past Loughgall at Lakeview Park.
O'Neill grabbed what proved to be the winner as early as the sixth minute when his deflected finish from Olatunde Bayode's cross from the left wrong footed Villagers keeper Nathan Gartside.
Tiarnan O'Connor could have doubled Larne's lead midway through the first half but he could only volley over with the goal at his mercy while, not long after that, he was denied by Gartside when he looked certain to score.
At the other end Robbie Norton was unfortunate to see his curling effort fall just the wrong side of the top left corner.
After the break a Lee McMenemy effort suffered a similar fate followed soon after by a Kirk McLaughlin overhead kick which flashed narrowly wide.
But Loughgall's hopes of salvaging something from the game were dealt a blow when Norton was booked for a challenge on Oisin Devlin, his second caution of the game.
Larne couldn't convert their numerical advantage into another goal but they did enough to hold onto the points.
