ALL SQUARE AT INVER PARK
Larne and Coleraine battled to a share of the spoils in an entertaining Saturday evening encounter at Inver Park.
The Bannsiders almost grabbed the lead in the opening moments when Kyle Spence played the ball in for Jamie Glackin to rattle the crossbar from close range.
Then, straightaway at the other end, Aaron Donnelly sent a ball over to the back post for Paul O'Neill to rise highest to head just off target.
Larne did have the ball in the net later in the half when O'Neill laid the ball off for Andy Ryan to tap home but the 'goal' was ruled out offside by the officials.
But the deadlock was broken with around a quarter-of-an-hour to go after a defensive error from Shaun Want allowed Matthew Shevlin to take advantage, go past Rohan Ferguson and roll the ball into the unguarded net.
However Larne hit back just a few minutes after that and, on this occasion, Ryan's finish did count after he was found at the back post by Donnelly to execute a simple tap in.
