BLUES SWEEP TO FOUR GOAL WIN
Two goals in each half saw Linfield Women make it five wins on the bounce with victory over Larne Women at Inver Park.
Sienna Leckey opened the scoring on eight minutes after connecting with a corner delivered to the back post to send a half volley past impressive Larne keeper Kate Smith.
As Linfield continued to control proceedings, a move down the left flank resulted in a low cross into the box which was once again turned home to double Linfield’s lead, Emily Reid getting on the scoresheet on this occasion.
The Blues extended their advantage early in the second half. Another low cross created a scramble inside the box, with the ball eventually falling to Carla Devine who gave Smith no time to react.
The final goal of the game came by the way of a wicked deflection following a neat turn and shot from substitute Rachel Kerr.
